How does immigration expect us to prove we make 40,000 baht a month after we have been here almost a year? Of course I am not working in America anymore since I have been away so long. I live off of a small savings.
Now I am married to a Thai national and want a NON-O visa to stay 3 more months but I can't prove the financial requirements.
Anyone else had this issue and found and alternate plan?
TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat seeks advice on how to meet the financial requirements for a NON-O visa since they cannot prove an income of 40,000 baht per month after living off savings. Several commenters suggest options such as maintaining a balance of 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account, using bank transfers, or applying for a visa run in Savanakhet, Laos, where financial proof may not be required. The conversation highlights various experiences with immigration rules and offers potential alternatives for extending their stay.
