Hi, is it possible to get a marriage visa based on income (40k+ every month for the last 12 months from Savannakhet with or without tax shown)? I ask because Korat immigration have not given me a clear answer, if I may apply or not at the end of February from this previously offered option. I showed them all the correct documents to make the requirements, but they made me wait for two hours without an answer due to the new tax laws on overseas income. They could not tell me, if I had to show tax paid or if they could even issue the visa, if I had my taxes to show after talking to the immigration ‘boss’ in Korat and Kohn Kaen.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster inquired about obtaining a marriage visa in Thailand based on a monthly income of over 40,000 baht, specifically from Savannakhet, amidst confusion regarding tax documentation requirements. Comments clarified that the in-country 90-day Non-O visa cannot be granted solely on monthly income transfers. Alternatives include proving 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account or obtaining a visa directly from the Thai consulate without proof of funds.
