TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to show proof of 40k baht monthly income instead of 400k baht for a NON-O marriage visa can vary depending on the local immigration office. There are recent observations that some offices are not accepting this method unless the applicant is legally employed in Thailand making at least 40k per month. It's advised to confirm specific requirements with the local immigration office regarding income proof for a yearly extension.

comes down to your immigration office.

We are seeing more offices decline 40k baht monthly income method by bank transfer (for the countries who can't get an embassy letter) for extension based on marriage unless you legally work here and make a minimum of 40K a month in salary

OK, guessing you are actually asking about a yearly extension, if so, then yes immigration does offer that option, BUT check with your local office what their rules are regarding income.
