TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks help in obtaining a Non-O marriage visa in Thailand, specifically regarding the requirement to prove a monthly income of 40,000 baht while working for a company outside of Thailand. A comment suggests contacting the respective embassy in Thailand to see if they can issue an affidavit of income, which would need to be notarized and presented to immigration to meet the visa requirements. If the embassy does not provide such a document, the alternative is to deposit 400,000 baht in a Thai bank account to fulfill financial requirements.

you would contact your embassy here in thailand and see if they issue what's called an affidavit of income from abroad notary document that you get from them and states you get a minimum of 40K baht a month.

If they do, you need that notarized document from them to give immigrations to show you make the minimum required income per month abroad to meet the requirements for the Non-O based on marriage

IF your consulate here doesn't issue that you cannot use monthly income from abroad to meet the financial requirements for the marriage visa

Instead you would need to bank 400K baht in a thai bank account in your name only transferred in from abroad to get the 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage.

Bill ONeal US, UK, and Australia stopped issuing those letters back in Dec 2018

BUT

Other countries didn't stop and still issue it, several of the scandanavian countries, Canada and others still issue that letter. SO the O/P should at least ASK their embassy if they issue it.

so proof of 40,000 tbt income through actual monthly deposits evidenced with bank statements and bank letter will not suffice? Only letter from Embasy?

you aren't gonna pull a 90 day non-O visa based on marriage with just a couple months of bringing in 40K a month into your thai bank account. πŸ˜• AND you won't get the year extension without a full 12 months of incoming transfers

I know that the immigration office police order says that they are to offer leniency with new applicants but I have never ever seen it in hundreds of people trying and failing.

I am talking about a full 12 months of income. I am currently on Retirement extension based on 800,000 tbt deposit (5 yrs now). Considering extension based on marriage. My Social Security has been direct deposited to Thai bank account for 5 yrs.

right but the O/P is trying to get their initial 90 day non-O visa based on marriage and then the yearly extension <- neither which can be done on monthly transfers at this stage. NEXT year they could if they moved 40K baht a month in to their thai bank account in their name only for the previous 12 months but this first time they can't.

You can use the 40K THB income method to get a one year extension of stay based on marriage, however I never heard of anyone getting their first one year extension of stay using the income method, UNLESS they are working inside Thailand already on a one year extension of stay based on employment.

I have

baht income in my country but I do not have 400k baht money to show in the bank.

You're telling me to talk to my embassy, Right??

@Cem ******
I'm telling you that IF your embassy here doesn't issue the income affidavit notary saying you get a minimum of 40K baht a month income then the only way for you to get the Non-O visa is by banking the 400K baht

Talk to your embassy, believe me you're not the first person from your country to ask them about that letter. They either issue one or they don't
