Hi! I'm planning to apply for non-o marriage visa. As I understand the main requirement here is 40k monthly income or 400k in the bank account. Can I apply for marriage visa while I still working and getting these 40+k? If in 3 month I will finish my contract, and technicaly won't have the income from the inside of the country. Do I need to show them 400k after that?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about applying for a Non-O marriage visa while still employed and earning a monthly income, specifically about meeting the financial requirements of 40,000 THB or 400,000 THB in the bank. A commenter advises checking with the local immigration office for the latest requirements and mentions that if the user is on a 1-year extension based on employment, they can convert it to a marriage extension. However, they would need to show proof of employment income or have 400,000 THB in a Thai bank if they are leaving their job soon.

You need to go to your local immigration office to get the latest requirements for Non-O in-country or extension.

Are you already on 1-year extension based on employment?

If so, you can apply for 1-year extension based on marriage to a Thai (changing the reason) when your next application by meeting the requirement for an extension without leaving Thailand.

Unless I'm mistaken you need to get certification of employment (or long-term employment contract) from your employer to meet the requirements for Non-O in-country or 1-year extension along with other documents from them to use monthly income inside Thailand. It'd be hard to get if you are leaving the company.

But Once you are granted 1-year extension, you don't have to show the money until next 1-year extension application.

If you cannot get the documents from your employer, you need to have 400K in your Thai bank account to apply for changing the reason for a 1-year extension based on marriage.

IF you are still on the first 90 days from your Non-B entry/start, you need to leave once to be able to apply for a new Non-O based on marriage to a Thai. Basically, financial requirements are same as above.

Just FYI.

If you cannot meet these requirements, check multiple entry Non-O based on marriage from Savannakhet. BUT Please search this group for that first and make another post if you want to ask further. Please don't mix with information of this post.
