Thank you for letting me join the group.

My family are going to Thailand in July for 33 days and I am trying to apply for a 60 day tourist visa.

I am just not sure on a few things when filling in the support document part and I hope some of you can enlighten me.

1. Part 6 asks for proof of accommodation in Thailand. My wife is Thai and we have an apartment in Bangkok. So can I use a copy of our property registration certificate for this?

2. Part 8 asks for a residence permit in the country in which the application is submitted. Myself and my two children were born in the UK and are British and don't need residence permits.

a.Can I use a photo of my driving licence for myself?

b.Can I use a photo of my children's medical cards that have their address on them, as they are only 11 and 12 years old?

3. Part 10 asks to upload passport pages which contain all travel records for the past 12 months since last International trip.

We haven't been outside the UK in the past 5 years. So what do I upload here?

4. Part 11 Applicant is required to upload a document that can verify their current residency.

a. Can I again used my driving license?

b. What can I use for my children?

Sorry for so many questions and thanks in advance

.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK family, planning to visit Thailand for 33 days, asks for clarification on the documents needed to apply for a 60-day tourist visa. Specific concerns include proof of accommodation, residence documents for both parents and children, and evidence of past travel. Responses from the community provide guidance, suggesting alternatives such as hotel bookings for accommodation proof and using driving licenses or recent stamps in passports for residency verification. Additionally, there are discussions on possible travel exemptions and extensions for families.

You could come in visa exempt for 30 days then get an extension for 30 days and finally get a family extension for 60 days. Total 120 days

8. This is usually just for the multiple-entry TR. Did you choose that option by mistake? You only need a single entry.

9. Hotel booking is fine.

As the my name is not on the apartment. I have now booked a hotel and deleted the first visa application and am now doing a new one as leasure and tourism.

Now in part 8 it's asking for a confirmation letter from employer, school, self assessment, pension statement. I don't have any of these.

Part 9. Identity of person inviting you to stay. No-one is inviting me to stay as its a holiday.

Any ideas what I should do with theses?

Thanks

RTE London are usually pretty good about this stuff and know some things aren’t really relevant for a TR.

Passport details page is fine for residency and you can upload the same thing in more than one place. I hadn’t travelled either so just wrote None on a bit of paper and photographed it.

I used a bank statement for my current residency, but anything official with address will be fine. They’ll recognise the children will be with you so use the same for them.

1. Yes that should be fine if your name is on it too. Or just book a couple weeks at a free cancellation hotel on Agoda, get the confirmation and use that then cancel

2. Your passport data page or drivers license is fine.

3. Just use the most recent stamp you have in your passport.

4. Passport data page or DL again
