On the last page of my application from the UK, it asks for "Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.)"
I thought I would be exempt from needing to submit from the wording and that I've supplied my passport but what on earth do they want here? I can't proceed without attaching a document.
Help?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on what document to submit as confirmation of their legal residence in the country of application for a Thai visa, given that they are a UK national. Various comments from other users suggest options like re-uploading the passport, providing a council tax or utility bill as proof of residence, and sharing experiences regarding documentation requirements for different visa types.
Embassies can have ignorant requirements, being Belgian but not registered there the Brussels Thai embassy still insisted I provide a residence certificate from the country I am registered in. Took some time to get that....
I have Australia passport got stuck in UK not a resident just filled in the information I could and sent it. In Bangkok now OK. Multi 'O' visa. No problems.
Iβm UK resident. I checked with RTE London and they confirmed copy of Council Tax bill or Utility bill is fine. I used Council Tax bill to get my TR Visa - no problems.
