On the last page of my application from the UK, it asks for "Confirmation of legal residence in a country in which you are applying for the visa. (In case that you are not a national of the country in which you are applying for the visa.)"
I thought I would be exempt from needing to submit from the wording and that I've supplied my passport but what on earth do they want here? I can't proceed without attaching a document.
Help?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on what document to submit as confirmation of their legal residence in the country of application for a Thai visa, given that they are a UK national. Various comments from other users suggest options like re-uploading the passport, providing a council tax or utility bill as proof of residence, and sharing experiences regarding documentation requirements for different visa types.
I sent them my driving licence as it has your address on it

Embassies can have ignorant requirements, being Belgian but not registered there the Brussels Thai embassy still insisted I provide a residence certificate from the country I am registered in. Took some time to get that....
