Do I need to file a new TM 30 when returning to Thailand after a trip if I own a condo?

Hi Group, there is vast knowledge here and I'm hoping someone can enlighten me about the TM 30.

I filed my TM30 yesterday at Jomtien. My question is, when I return to Thailand after a trip home to Oz next year, do I need to file a new one upon return, given that I own my own condo and will be living there? Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement to file a new TM 30 upon returning to Thailand can vary by local office. While some offices may not require it if you are returning to the same address, others may insist on a new filing, especially if you have traveled outside the province or the country. Many expats recommend filing it online for peace of mind, as it only takes a few minutes, regardless of the office's specific stance.

Just do it online. Takes about 75 seconds and it's done, whether you're told to do it or not, just do it and then it's done

I do it every time I'm away from my substantive address. I'd spend more time asking if it's necessary than it takes to actually do.

I tried to do mine Jomtien 3 times they say not need. Last time 2019.

I fly in and out every 2 weeks. I do mine online every time takes a few minutes, I feel better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks Wayne, I didn't know you could file TM 30 online. Thanks for the tip.

Technically yes. But strange enough, when I did, returning from Europe they told me there, it was not necessary. Go figure...

That's a good idea. Thanks and saves an unnecessary trip to immigration

Not count too much on it. See when you go. If you do your 90 days report, no harm to ask again.

Each office has different requirements on that one. Some say no if you’re returning to the same address, some say yes if you leave the country. Some want it re-filed if you’ve stayed at a hotel out of province.

I don’t know the policy for Jontiem.
