Advise please. I travel a lot for work and leave Thailand frequently. Each time I return, do I need to do a TM30? If yes, can this be done online for ease etc?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Travelers frequently leaving and returning to Thailand are required to comply with the TM30 reporting rules, but whether it's needed each time can depend on the local immigration office's policies. While most immigration offices require an updated TM30 upon re-entry, if the traveler stays at the same address and their landlord files the TM30 online, it may not be necessary to file a new one each time. The landlord generally holds responsibility for TM30 registrations, and they can register online to facilitate the process.

Yes, it can be done online. The property owner (blue book owner) needs to register with the online services and register you as the property manager and Yiu can register yourself every time you come back home after each trip outside your province and abroad.

seems they changed the registration process, I still needed the id of my wife and blue book some time ago. All good.

Technical speaking it is the Landlord than have the resposability to do the TM30.

If you leave frequently I assume you do not use the Immigration Office for Extensions or 90 day reports etc.. If this is the case don't worry about your TM30.

If your landlord could file it online, you can ask your landlord to do so when you are about to renew your yearly extension, or when registering your 90 day. Those are a few occasions immigration actually requests to see your newest tm.30

No if staying the same address

- Yes, I have a 1 year lease. But I leave Thailand to travel Asia for work every 2 weeks. So I don’t need to keep updating the TM30?

I had to Pete as Immigration wouldnt give me a resident certificate or a re-entry permit as my entry stamp in my passport was more recent then the TM30. I've been in my condo for 4 years now but luckily the reception staff file the TM30 each time and give me a printout. This is Chiang Mai Immigration others may be different.

I assume I just re-add the address each time I return and it will date stamp the entry

You need to ask your local immigration office what their policy is. Each office makes their own rules on this. But that being said, many do require a new TM30 after leaving and returning to Thailand.

The property owner can register online and file TM30 through the online system.

SOME Immigrations want you to register anew, when you return from abroad, and even when you return to the same address. Ask your Immigration how they keep it. And yes, you can do a TM30 report online by yourself, if your landlord gave you the Login-ID and the password
