Can my wife extend her Non-B visa in Thailand and what are our options without being directors?

Hi both myself and my wife have been using Non-b for good few years, renewing in penang with Jimmy as we live in phuket , however on last visit they would only give my wife single entry non b 3 months as even as she is a shareholder , she is not a director. We prefare non-b to business due to 15 month length, local staff requirements and it makes us go away every 3 months !! we also dont want to be directors as i am a long term cancer patient and need to stay in the social system.

3 questions please:

we were told that my wife could extend or renew it inside Thailand, does anyone know if this is true?

is there any other consulates in region that dont have this director rule for 1 yr non-B , i have been told myramar or Laos?has anyone had any recent experience?

my WP is renewed each sept , can i renew earlier so as to also fulfill the 8 month min requirement for 1 year non-B or is there other options?

thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user and their wife have been using Non-B visas for years, but recently faced issues renewing in Penang. The wife received a single entry, 3-month Non-B visa instead of a longer term option due to not being a director. They inquire whether the wife can extend her visa in Thailand, if there are other consulates without strict director rules, and if renewing the work permit earlier would help meet requirements for a longer visa. Responses suggest she can apply for a 1-year extension with proper documentation, emphasize the importance of hiring local staff, and warn against potential visa scams.

You can apply for the Extension of Stay between 45 days and the last day of your Admitted to Stay date stamped in your passport. The 1 year is added to this date, so no loose of days when going early but by going early you provide yourself time to get all the documents if you miss one.

There is only one good visa agent and one place to get advice. The visa agent is called Immigration Office, to get advice this is the page and as mentioned we do not name or shame any visa agents in Thailand.

As you mention, local staff requirement, without hiring local staff you can not get the 1 year Extension of Stay inside the country. It is 4 Thai staff for 1 foreigner.

A one year extension of stay is the answer

AFAIK There is no solid report for other place.. No success report nor refused/rejected report for multiple entry Non B for foreigners.

There is only 'possibility' in Yangon, Myanmar.
