TLDR : Answer Summary
The poster is seeking information about obtaining a multi-entry Non-B visa in Thailand. They mention complications due to their health and previous requirements dictating the need to be both a shareholder and director. Previous discussions suggested going to Kota Bharu or Yangon to apply for the visa, but the poster encountered issues at local offices. They recently learned from various consulates that only short-term visas (3 months) are available and are now considering starting a BOI, although some comments dispute this information regarding the availability of one-year multi-entry visas.

OK my thai friend rang rayong, kota baru and hong kong today and they all said same, no more 12 months for anyone, only 3months and extend here!, so thats it then. im off to look at starting a BOI

Your friend is wrong, :/ Kota Bharu does indeed issue year long multi-entry Non-B visas as does Yangon.

Good Luck, I'm closing the topic.

There are at the moment only two Thai Consulates that are selling the 1 year Multiple Entry Non Immigrant B visa. That is in Penang if you already have a Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa, a Work Permit with minimum 8 months validity and you must be Managing Director mentioned in Work Permit and company documents or Khota Baru where you must be Director of Company mentioned in Work Permit and company documents. As far as I see it you have two options, continue with the Single Entry Non Immigrant B visa every 90 days or organize your company to meet the requirements of the Immigration Office to get the Extension of Stay.

One i noticed on the embassy websites is there is actually 2 types of non-b, one to do business in Thailand and one to just work for a Thai based company , my question is if I removed myself as a share holder and just applied with a wp3 as an employee would i have less requirements like directorship and a better chance of a multiple entry visa if anyone knows please?

No harm in asking, but until you slog to Kota Bharu or Yangon yourself or have an adept thai speaker call for you you're not going to know the answers to your question.

As far as I know nothing changed since 12 Feb or 21 Jan when you asked the same questions.

Didn't you do this topic before? I seem to recall that you were told to go to Kota Bharu or Yangon and see if you could get your year-long, multi-entry Non-B from them.
