Good morning all members.....not really an advice but can anyone confirm work permit holder will not longer get a 1 year Non B visa unless they are : Owners, Directors, or shareholders of a company ? This come from Penang....or as an advice what consulate/embassy could still offer it ? Thank you in advance !

TLDR : Answer Summary
There are conflicting reports about the issuance of 1-year Non B visas for work permit holders in Thailand. Some members suggest that only company owners, directors, or shareholders may qualify for the 1-year visa, while others believe that employees with work permits will only receive a 3-month visa. It's recommended to verify directly with the relevant consulate or agents in Penang for accurate information and updates.

Has anybody seen an official statement from the consulate itself ?? Is it possible they have just stopped the agents doing multiple entries, but still ok if applied in person

I think you're grasping at straws with that idea, agents make up MOST of the business that the consulate does. I'd bet it is gonna be for everyone.

Seriously? I think if you have a work permit and employment contract it shouldn't be an issue. Check with the agent in Penang. His name is Jim

Try Kota Bahru Malaysia - the only other Thai Consulate in the Region that has processed 12 Month Multi-Entry B Visas in recent times

Jim posted it on his f/b page. Starting next week, all they're going to give for employees of companies is a 90 day single entry Non-B in Penang.
