Someone recently posted this .. any idea if this Is accurate . I’ve always had multiple entry since I don’t live full time in Thailand and I’m never there more than a month

How many of you have a Non-B visa, one year, multiple entry? Are you the Managing Director of your company? I have just been told that ONLY the Managing Director of a company can get a multiple entry non-b visa. I have lived here 23 years. I have a valid Work Permit. I have never been a Managing Director. I have ALWAYS gotten a Non-B, one year multiple entry visa. So.... has the rule changed? If so, when? Can you point me to somewhere official where I can see this rule for myself? OR... are the people telling me this wrong and/or confused and/or corrupt?

TLDR : Answer Summary
There is some confusion about the requirements for obtaining a Non-B, one-year, multiple-entry visa in Thailand, specifically regarding the need for the applicant to be a Managing Director of their company. While there appears to be a new requirement at certain consulates (notably in Malaysia) for the applicant to hold a director-level position, others, like the Thai consulate in New York, may not enforce this as strictly. It's advised to confirm the specific requirements directly with the consulate you plan to apply to, as experiences can vary.

And as there are much more Thai Embassies and Consulate all over the world where you can get a Non Immigrant B visa, i close the commenting.

Check their website of tell where you go in your question, there is no need to make a list with requirements of all those consulates on this page.

thank you for your patience and understanding. it's NOT okay, and the group tries to keep people and threads ON TOPIC.

And while I am no expert at Non-B stuff even I could tell you were wanting the year-multi-Non-B visa NOT a yearly extension :P

Good Luck with it (y)

, I'd say dial your paranoia back a notch or three, the posts you were reading were changes to the thai consulates in the immediate area about their issuing year-long, multi-entry Non-B visas and have NOTHING to do with the requirements that the thai consulates in the US require to issue that visa.

Contact them and ask if the requirements changed from last year (seeing as you have been getting a visa from them for 4 years now)

Okay, people learn to READ topics. It seems only

caught on to the fact that the O/P was NOT interested in getting a yearly extension. <- That means ANY comments about a year extension are OFF TOPIC. I don't care what you do, what you have etc, The O/P wants to get a year long, multi-entry Non-B, (specifically from the thai consulate in New York).

SO if you haven't done that there is no need for you to comment and comments unrelated do not help.

I'm gonna start muting members when i delete their b/s off topic comments if you people don't stay ON TOPIC.

okay whether you can get the year-long, multi-entry Non-B in New York is anyone's guess.

That you've lived here 23 years cuts no ice at all (BUT does beg the question why in those intervening years didn't you bother to apply for permanent residence?) BE that as it may

What you won't do is get one from any thai consulate around here without being listed as a managing director on the paperwork, owning a certain percentage of the stock and having the work permit list you as at least a director.

There are TWO thai consulates here that issue a year-long, multi-entry Non-B visa; Penang and Kota Bharu Malaysia

I’m talking about a multiple entry non b . I am going to apply next week in New York .. I have been able to obtain the multiple entry there for the last four years but the post I copied above had a different experience

I have never had to obtain a re entry permit because I’ve never been in Thailand for more than 3 months at a time so never needed to

That is true IF you apply multiple entry Non-B (employment) at Penang or Kota Bharu.

Not really true when you apply at consulate/embassy in other countries or applying for Multiple entry Non-B (conducting business).
