Hello guys!

I have a 3 months Non B visa, expires on April 18th 2018. Got it in Penang.

My work permit is on process.

I would like to know what is the best way to stay here. I don't want to go to Penang again because I heard they don't give 1 year Non B visa anymore..

I heard about "extension of stay" but not sure if I can do it or not.

Thanks!!!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on how to extend their stay in Thailand with a 3-month Non B visa, which expires soon, especially since their work permit is still being processed. They are also curious about the process of getting an extension of stay and do not wish to return to Penang for a longer visa due to recent changes. A helpful comment suggests that typically, holders of a Non B visa can apply for an extension of stay, provided certain requirements are met, such as maintaining a minimum salary and contributing to taxes and social security.

Normally everybody with a Work Permit and a Non Immigrant B visa can get an Extension of Stay. BUT there are some requirements for this like: minimum wage (except teachers), tax and sso payments for Thai staff and yourself. The company should provide all this. Best things is to ask company if they can help you.

It will be a work permit for teacher.

And you can get that extension of stay at the immigration office right?
