When should I apply for my marriage visa extension to avoid issues with my business trip in late November?

My marriage visa extension is due for renewal on 31/10. If I go couple of weeks before that will the one month stamp be from that date (for date I have to go back for the year’s extension)?

Reason I ask is that I have to go on business trip 27/11-2/12 and worried that based on 31/10 expiry date I’ll be expected to go back to get 1 year on 30/11 and I’ll be out of the country, and then have an issue coming back in.

I was hoping if I go around mid Oct that the one month extension would be based on that date, and I could then get 1 year renewal back before I have to leave the country end Nov.

Last year was first time I did marriage visa extension myself and went just before the expiry date and return date was a little over a month (27/10 to 30/11). Prior to that work always sorted my non immigrant visa and got yearly renewal on same day so this process a little confusing.

If anyone can shed any light would be appreciated, or point me to any old/pinned posts. Otherwise will pop to Krabi immigration beginning of October to see if they can clarify. TIA.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking clarification on the timing of their marriage visa extension due on 31/10. They want to know if applying a couple of weeks earlier in mid-October would allow them to receive a one-month extension based on that date, in consideration of an upcoming business trip from 27/11 to 2/12, which would coincide with the current visa's expiration. The responses suggest checking with the local immigration office for specific policies and emphasize the importance of obtaining a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand.

Just go for y'r year extension 3th of October. Then enough time for the 1 month in consideration. New date will be added to the enddate of your current extension.

Be sure to have a Re-entry permit in your passport before you leave Thailand.

Usually, one month consideration period is the first month of your new 1-year extension. But it depends on your immigration office when they start it exactly. The best is to check with your immigration office. And you sure need to mention your overseas trip schedule before you apply for your extension and consult with them, bringing the fixed (not open) tickets. Some offices may set longer consideration periods so that you can go back.
