Hey, I’ve been getting conflicting answers to this, so I wanted to get this group's consensus.
I need to travel back to the states for about a month in September, and I have a married-to Thai citizen visa. The problem is that I am out of pages and would need a new passport before leaving.
Would my marriage visa transfer to the new passport? If not, could I simply carry both passports when I return to Thailand?
I hope I wouldn’t need to go through the process of getting a new visa, as I just got this in February.
Sorry if this question is dumb; I’m just having a hard time finding an answer to this specific case.
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is seeking clarification on whether their marriage visa to a Thai citizen will transfer to a new passport after they obtain one due to lack of pages. They are concerned about traveling to the States for a month and returning to Thailand without needing to reapply for a visa, as they had recently obtained it. Community responses indicate that the user can transfer their visa and re-entry permits to their new passport at the local immigration office.
