I visited Khon Kaen Immigration today to apply for my first one year extension on my Non-O (Marriage) visa. My current visa was due to expire on the 7th Feb, however I've been told to go back on the 9th March, (as seen in the photo). No problem with doing that, just found it a bit strange though, as in effect I won't actually have a visa for over a month. I'm assuming this is normal?
TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the standard procedure for obtaining a one-year extension on their Non-O (Marriage) visa and expressed concern about not having a valid visa for over a month. Community members responded, confirming that it is normal to receive a 30-day consideration stamp during the extension process, particularly for a marriage extension. They provided insights into the overall visa extension timeline and reminded the user of the necessity for a re-entry permit if traveling abroad within the year.
