Can I get a 3-month extension on my Non-O visa if Iโ€™m on holiday right before it expires?

Got myself into a bit of a pickle!! My 3 month non o visa based on marriage expires May 12th. My 400k went into my Thai bank account on Feb 21st so I cannot apply for the 1 year extension until April 21st. However, I am on holiday (around Thailand) from April 19th to May 4th. My question is, can I get a 3 month extension instead of 12 as the process is quicker, or is there enough time from May 5th to May 12th to apply and process the 1 year extension? Sorry for the ramble!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is facing a dilemma with their Non-O visa, which expires on May 12th. They received the required funds in their bank account on February 21st and can only apply for a 1-year extension on April 21st. However, they will be on holiday from April 19th to May 4th and are unsure if they can apply for a 3-month extension instead, or if they will have enough time to process the 1-year extension after returning. Responses suggest that a 3-month extension is not available, but a 60-day family visit extension might be an option. They also recommend checking specific document requirements at the immigration office and ensuring everything is in order before applying.

You've got plenty of time. There are no public holidays around that time. Do as Tod suggests and get hold of the list of requirements from your immigration office. Take your wife and write down what else they want what isn't on the list. Make sure your landlord has done the TM 30 for you , check that he's done it and get him to contact immigration that it's done properly. Ask if you can make an appointment for the 5th May . When you apply your wife will need to be there also. Write off the whole day for the process and expect to have something missing and have to go back another day.

Nope there's no 3 month extension ๐Ÿ˜•

Now whether you can or can't get it together document wise to apply from May 4th until your 90 day Non-O stamp runs out May 12 is totally on you and your ability to get the copies, documents, etc that immigrations needs to issue the extension. Did you already go to your immigration office and get the hand out listing the requirements AND ask if there's anything not on the list that you need as well?

As

s correctly pointed out (y) you COULD use the one 60 day visit thai family extension you're allowed per entry and that'd buy you 2 more months and then apply for the year extension after that.

Good luck with it

You can apply for the 60 Day visiting family extension (I believe that's what it was). You can then apply for the Non O after this one.
