I went onto the Dutch embassies web site and went through the information very carefully. As i married it’s says for a fee of 175 € i can get a 12 month multiple entry visa with showing minimal funds. Nothing is mentioned about having Thai bank account with 400,000 which everyone mentions? So I am confused. I do know that it is not needed for the 3 month non- o. I hope someone can explain please and Thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the process and requirements for obtaining a 12-month multiple entry Non-O visa based on marriage from the Dutch embassy. The key points clarified are that the 400,000 THB in a Thai bank account is not mandatory for the initial visa application, which only requires minimal funds in a home bank account. The visa allows stays of up to 90 days per entry with the necessity to exit and re-enter every three months unless extended. Furthermore, the yearly extension of stay requires significant financial proof, including bank statements or evidence of consistent income.

Yes is normal is still a non immigrant O multiple entry but you need go out every 3 month. For change this visa to a long stay 1year resident visa "thai family" you need to apply this with the local immigration of your résidence in thailand. This time you need to show thai bank book on your name with

baht minimum every month. For french embassy they dont ask any proof of income. You just put the income that you want and after they exchange in baht and give you stamp. I pay for this paper 949 baht. With thus paper you dont need to have thai bank Account also..

From what I have seen. If you apply to embassy outside of Thailand they accept proof of funds in overseas account. It is only applications inside that stipulate the THAI BANK ACCOUNT.

Correct, some Embassys/Consulates dont require any funds. The multi entry Non Imm O visa isnt available inside Thailand, only the 90 day Non Imm O.

I have the same visa based on having Thai child (Thai embassy in Morocco not munching the

There are actually 1 year Non-O marriage visas, only like 2 embassies issue them though. The US for example will issue 1 year Non-Bs to certain categories of jobs. Dutch embassy might be one that issues 1 year Non-O's.

@Garrett **********
. Thai consulates in Australia still issue 1 year ME Non O spouse visas. Need about 200k baht in bank to get one. They'll accept a Thai bank account too.
Steven ***************
@Jo *********
. Wow.. only half that applying from Australia. (5500 €)
Garrett ***********
@Ste***
If I remember correctly, it's only one of the consulates in Aussy that issues them too right?
Steven ***************
@Garrett **********
. I just found out that all consulates have been closed and only the embassy in Canberra process them online or by mail. All yearly visas were sent there anyway. Single entry were done at consulates in the past. .

Edit.

Adelaide and Perth definitely closed. Brisbane and Sydney I'm not 100% sure.
Michael ********
Yes Australia were the only ones issuing after being allowed back in July 2020.

they are asking 1000 euro for every 30 days in the Netherlands so that’s 12,000 € for the year just over 400k baht

that makes sense from what I read Thank you
Steve *******
It's a non imm O multi entry visa. You have to leave the country every 90 days or apply for the 60 days or 1 year extention of stay

@Steve ******
Is this 60 days family extension also applicable for 90 days non O visa based on Thai wife ?

@Steve ******
thank you..

If you don't mind, Can you please tell me what's the process and requirements for obtaining this extension for 90 days non O visa ?
Steve *******
@Yash ******
You need proof of dependancy and your dependant has to attend the Immigration office when you apply.

@Steve ******
okay , thank you 😊

i want to thank everyone here because it’s clear to me. The main thing is that i thought is the only way to get a 1 year multiple entry visa was by having a marriage visa. but this is an easier option for me
Steve *******
@Jo *********
The Non Imm O IS the 'marriage visa".
Garrett ***********
@St***
You sure? It's not like the Non-OA? I know the 1 year Non-B makes you bounce every 90 days, not sure about these though.
Steven ***************
@Garrett **********
. Yeah ,I had one when I first moved here. Had to bounce out of thailand every 90 days to re activate it .Flew to KL or Singapore and back same day ,no visa needed to enter there. Yearly extension put an end to that headache.
Steve *******
@Garrett **********
Not like the OA, the ME O visa is valid for 1 year but each entry only get's you stamped in for 90 days.
Thomas *************
@Steve ******
sorry for my basic question; do somone need to have a thai spouse to qualify for this ME Non-O visa? Does it require funds in thai banks? Thanks for the feedback.
Steve *******
@Thomas ************
To get the ME Non Imm O based on marriage you need a Thai spouse, it doesnt require any funds in a Thai bank but be aware that many Embassys/Consulates only issue the 90 day Non Imm O visa.

@Steve ******
very clear this is ideal for me because i will fly in and out frequently and I can avoid the marriage visa
Steve *******
@Jo *********
Yes, it's perfect for people who enter multiple times a year, hence the name!

@St***
Cheers man 😉
Steve *******
@Garrett **********
Yep Im sure, Ive had many from Savannakhet and used to get them at RTE London.
Michael ********
Oh they started doing these again good
Steven ***************
The 400k in a thai bank is for a yearly EXTENSION of that visa inside Thailand. It's never been for the original entry visa. I got that same visa 5 years ago in Australia, and have extended it yearly ever since. There is an amount you need in home bank but not even close to 400k.
Benjamin ******
Seems right. This is a multiple entry visa though, so on each entry you are stamped for 90 days
Yash **************
David Broadfoot so if a person has entered on a tourist visa, they are eligible to get 60 days family extension if they have wife/children in Thailand ?
Jo **********
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Yash ******
yes that’s the rule, but i had some problems because my local immigration office was not aware of this. i showed them on the government web site

David Broadfoot thank you 😊

David Broadfoot Is this 60 days family extension also applicable for 90 days non O visa based on Thai wife.

yes but this is much easier than getting a 12 month marriage visa

Jo Clemente. But you have to leave after 90 days

@Jo *********
If you use that visa for 1 year you have to leave the country every 90 days.

As a note:

>Nothing is mentioned about having Thai bank account with 400,000 which everyone mentions?

That is for the extension of stay, not the visa. However, some consulates do want to see 400K THB in local currency before issuing the visa (and other's don't, like Savannakhet).
