Hello,

I m french citizen and I just got non O visa based on marriage 90days. But I plan to stay longer. At the embassy in Paris they told me that I can apply 90 days extension to 1 year. But they didn’t know how to apply. And when I check online I only found information about 1 year extension. So my questions are:

What s the requirement for 90 days extension?

Is there another kind of extension after non O based on marriage? I ll only need 40 more days.

Thanks for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A French citizen holding a Non-O visa based on marriage seeks information on extending their stay beyond the initial 90 days. They inquire about a possible 90-day extension and any other types of extensions available. Community members provide insights on obtaining a 60-day 'visit family' extension at a local immigration office, or an annual extension, which requires proof of funds.

you have only two extensions possible on a Non-O based on marriage.

A 60 day visit family extension that doesn't require any proof of funds

OR

A year-long extension that does require proof of 400K baht in the bank for 2 months or a letter from your consulate stating you get 40K baht a month in income.

Robert Lagas thanks for your answer. I got the money in my bank account in France but I don’t want to transfer that much money in my Thai bank account. I don’t want my wife spend all in 1 month 555. Anyway I just need 40 more days. So 60 days extension is perfect for me.

For the 60 day Extension just copies of passport, wife ID and blue housebook and marriage certificate, the wife has to join you. But you can also apply for the 1 year Extension of Stay if you meet the financial requirements.

I can also confirm Mr. Tod Daniels statement.

The first extension after 90 days are another 60 days. And you can get another last 7 days.

After 7 days you have to go out of Thailand.

I already ask at Thai embassy here in Paris. They don’t know about extension requirements. And online I can’t found official list. Many forums give some list but it s never the same.
