TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has a 60-day tourist visa, recently extended by 30 days, and inquires about applying for a marriage visa while having the necessary marriage documents. Responses highlight the importance of knowing the requirements from the local immigration office, including necessary documentation and time left on the current visa. Clarifications are provided regarding the funds requirement, noting that the ฿400,000 must be in the account for two months when applying for a one-year extension, but not when switching from a tourist to a 90-day Non-O visa.

there is no seasoning of the 400.000.- THB required when applying for the "change" from the tourist visa to the 90-days Non-Imm-O married-to-a-Thai-wife visa.

They money just needs to sit in your Thai bank account, and you must prove it came from abroad.

However, when up to 30 days are left on the 90-days from the visa, on the day of application to the 1-year extension of stay, the 400.000.- THB need to have seasoned in your account for two months.

NOTE: only Jomtien Immigration, in their very own interpretation of the police order, require the 2-months seasoning already for the application to the visa

You say you have all the documents, but did you go to your local office and get the hand out listing the requirements to apply for the initial 90 day Non-O visa based on marriage to a thai?

That way you know how many days you need left on your current stamp and what documents, copies, bank books, house books, photos you need?

Most offices require you have a minimum of 15 days left on your current stamp to apply for the initial 90 day Non-O visa for 2000baht.

The process works like this;

You'll apply, get a receipt that tells you when you go back (usually 2 weeks later) and on that date they'll stamp the Non-O visa and a new 90 day stamp into your passport.

Then you wait 2 months until you have 30 days or less left on that 90 day stamp and go back and apply for the year extension based on marriage with all new documentation for 1900baht

That gets a 30 day under consideration stamp and you go back when that 30 days is up to get the year extension inked in

take it a step at a time, don't get ahead of yourself

right now concentrate on going to apply for the 90 day Non-O visa (which at most places you don't need the funds seasoned for 2 months)

So get over to your office, get the hand out for the Non-O, get those documents together and go apply for 2000baht.

There's no reason to run your stamp down
