hi guys,
i have a non o (converting to retirement visa +50) stamped in today in hua hin. admitted 7 januari and expire 5 april. the officer say to me to come in and apply for converting to extansion 1 year retirement visa 45 days or less before expire-date (5 april), that breaking date should be around 21st februari before i can apply.
my question is: is it also a latest date i have to go to apply, or can i wait in reality to the days just before the actual expire-date (5 april) if i prefer to do so?
when i applied for my non o, the rule was i needed to apply 2 weeks before my tourist visa expired. to make that progress working
.
thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user, Benny, inquired about the latest possible date to apply for a retirement visa extension following the advice from immigration in Hua Hin. The responses clarified that he can apply anytime within the last 45 days before his current visa expiry without losing any stay days, and it is safer to apply earlier to avoid any potential issues that could arise close to the expiry date.
