ORIGINAL POSTER
We coĺlect our 90 day non O (for changing to retirement) on 19th july at Chiang Mai and we told we have to go back 45 days before to get the 12 month extension stamp. My question is can we get it extended before 45 days ie mid August as we will be out of the country when 45 days are left.

Many thanks for your fèedback.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about extending their 90-day Non-O visa for retirement purposes, specifically if they could apply for the extension in mid-August while being out of the country 45 days before the current visa expires. Responses indicated that the earliest one can apply for an extension is 45 days before expiration, but they can apply anytime until the visa expires. It was also advised to secure a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand to maintain the validity of the visa.

the soonest the chiang mai immigration office lets you apply for an extension is when you have 45 days or less left on your stamp, but you can apply right up until the last day of your current 90 day stamp.

Will you be back in the country before the 90 day Non-o stamp expires?

If so, just get a re-entry permit before you leave and when you return you'll be stamped in for the same expiration date

Hope you got a 're entry permit if your leaving.los.otherwise visa null and void.

and they would need to come back before the 90 day Non-O visa stamp expired ;)
