Retirement Visa - Thanks to this forum,I arrived in Pattaya Sunday on a 3 month Non-O retirement valid till 3 June. I have bank account with 800k thats been there since 4 Feb. I also rented an apartment for a month. So far so good.
But I I now need to return to the UK on 7th April. I think I also need to be in last 45 days of my Non O visa before I can apply?
Does this mean I that the earliest I can apply is 18th April (45 days before end of my current visa) ? So I will have to start all over again on the next trip? I think that's the case but just confirming as each place appeas to have own rule? Thanks as always!
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks clarification on the process of applying for a retirement extension on their Non-O visa, which is set to expire on June 3. They plan to return to the UK on April 7 and inquire if they can apply for the extension only during the last 45 days of their visa, suggesting they might have to wait until returning to Thailand after this trip. Responses clarify that the user can maintain their Non-O visa with a re-entry permit if they return before it expires, and that they can indeed apply for the extension once they are in the last 45 days of their visa.
