How far in advance can I do the one year extension of my Non-O based on retirement in Chiang Mai.  Is it 30 or 45 days?  My current Non-O extension is through 8 Nov.  I’m traveling much of October and would prefer to renew before I depart.  45 days before would work.  30 days would not since I leave 5 Oct.

ALWAYS BEST to ask your local Thai Immigration office for their list of requirements and to confirm the 45 days.

Note that there are Thai holidays...

So do it as soon as Allowed.

From prior reports of Chiang Mai, you can apply for the one year extension of stay as retired Up to 45 days in advance of your current ending date.
