Hello. I am currently holding a Non Immigration O Visa (1 year, multiple entry) which I obtained in Europe. It is going to expire on the 24th of July and i would then like to apply for a retirement visa in Thailand. I understand that the earliest I can apply is 1 month before the expiry of my current visa. I would like to know what is the latest I can/should apply. Meaning how many day need to remain on my current visa at the time when I submit the application? How many days is the average processing periode, assuming that all documents are in order?
Thank a lot for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
You can apply for a retirement visa at Thai Immigration between 30 days before your current Non Immigration O Visa expires and the actual expiration date. It’s recommended to apply a few days in advance to avoid any last-minute issues.

You can apply at most Immigration Offices in the period between 30 days before and your Admitted Until date, as stamped in your passport.
Best is to keep a few days spare and do not wait until the last day and minute, just to avoid when a document fails you do not go in overstay, if you have to come back the next day
