What Should I Do After Canceling My Work Permit in Thailand with a Non-Immigrant Type B Visa?

In a similar situation. Work terminated and have been told work permit has been cancelled by the ex-employer who insists there is no need to cancel our visa (which doesn’t seem right to me due to previous experience). Need to leave the country to get a new visa but surely with an uncancelled visa in the passport this will cause problems?

Colin Dorman thanks for this. We have been through this process before and had a fair few weeks before one visa was cancelled and we had to depart the country within the 7 days. I hear of some people staying in the country and their visa getting transferred between companies so I wondered how they achieved this!
