yeah I'm pretty sure this is the route in going to take. I'm heading down to immigration early next week to sort everything out. You really helped me clarify everything.

yeah that's kind of the issue I'm running into. I'm not going to be in the country to come back after the "under consideration" stamp. Plus I didn't want to have $12k sitting in Thailand while I'm not here. You never know what can happen in life.

yeah I remember having a brief conversation with an officer about this very thing a couple years back, but I couldn't recall all the details. My schedule is so hectic the next few months, I've got an overseas business trip, then going to America for family events for some time. I was trying to see if I could save myself the extra bounce to KL, so hopefully I'll be able to get that extension. Looks like a drive down to immigration is in order. As always, I greatly appreciate your advice.
