great, last question and i’ll not disturb you anymore! Normally when the extension of stay is submitted you get back your passport with the stamp “visa under consideration” the same day, the day after, or? I know that it is the same process of the extension of non imm B but the HR from the places that i worked for have always handled all the process and i also never been in a rush to have my passport back when i used to work in Thailand

actually it is pretty strange as usually people seek advise on visa for stay longer not for touch and go 😂.

during the “under consideration” time I’m allowed to leave the country (having bought previously a re entry permit) ?

you’re right, if i get my passport back the day of the application for the year extension or the day after it is feasible, a big headache indeed but feasible

the non imm o multiple entries was ideal for my case but since Jan 1 the embassy that was issuing it until 10 days ago will now accept ONLY online applications and the website doesn’t have the option of multiple entries on this kind of visa.

thanks for your detailed answer, however i forgot to mention that i have multiple thai banks accounts, and marriage certificate in Thai,as i have been working in thailand under non imm b for over 10 years.

The main problem is that i’ll never stay in Thailand for a period exceeding 3 days each entry and i must always carry with me my passport as i can’t leave the country without it.

Practical example on non imm O single entry:

I have granted the visa this week on Friday, i flight to Thailand on Sunday, i apply for re entry permit on Sunday directly at the airport and i leave on Monday. The following week i come back on Monday and i can’t apply for the extension of stay as i will leave on Tuesday (or Wednesday) and i can’t leave my passport at the immigration for 4 weeks during the “under consideration” time as i need it to leave the country! I really can not find any solution on this problem as it is an unique case very uncommon.

on the requirements of the DTV visa there is “letter from my company that certifies that i can work full time remote” it is not my case
