Contacted around 10 of those companies, of which 80 % do not deal with people being more then 75 y.o. Finally decided to fly to Hanoi (land border being too tiring for old person), and come back one day later with tourist visa exemption one month, so to apply for non O visa with agent at a cost of
unfortunately, it was checked with immigration in Chiangmai, he needs the insurance, though he had renew his O-A before for 4 times (5 years) without any problem. The the rules has just change end of octobre! I did contact the 12 insurances companies listed in the specific website, ⅔ did not offer the insurance service because of above 65 or 75 yo, ⅓ offered such service for 85 to 140 K bahts / y, with much conditions and exceptions! Not nice prospect indeed!
