Can I use the 400,000฿ in my Thai bank account for expenses while applying for my visa, and what are my options for banking in Thailand?

With an OA visa you just have to show that much in your bank account in your home country and that it has been there for at least 6 months. You then have 3 months after arriving in Thailand to transfer it to a Thai bank. I think these rules apply across the board for other visas as well.
