hello, I’m currently completing my non OA visa application. I am finding the cost of the insurance policy premiums I’m being quoted somewhat ridiculous in price, some companies quoting well above 5000 USD per year , so as to comply with the OA visa requirements ( I’m from AUS, my health insurance here equates to $2300 USD pa, )
I have never applied for Visa before prior to travelling to Thailand , always getting visa on arrival. Can you suggest / share what is reasonable for health insurance under this OA visa and insurance company / broker to assist please
Reading the requirements of the non O retirement visa , it states you need to show you are receiving an aged pension. I’m not due to receive an age pension for another 10 years , I satisfy all other requirements and criteria with non O retirement visa though.
Can I apply for the Non O retirement without an aged pension ?
thank you for your response. It is greatly appreciated. And I do apologise for misinterpreting the type of Visa . And yes, everything you said is correct As I mentioned above with my current circumstances, this is the most suitable Visa for me for the next 12 months, I have satisfied all other requirements and completed all of what is required. The only thing left to address is getting the correct health insurance and certificate signed by the insurance company to which I have asked my fellow members for recommendations on health insurance companies.
With my current circumstances, this is the Visa that is most suitable for me at the moment for a long-term stay in Thailand from June this year for the next 12 months
I have completed and satisfied all other requirements for this Visa. It’s just the health insurance that I need to address.
thank you for your response. I do apologise. It was a non-immigrant Visa (O-A) that I have applied for under a long stay for foreigners aged over 50
The THAI E-VISA Official website is telling me under section 4 to provide documents for health insurance
Question six says I must have health insurance issued by a tie or foreign insurer for general illnesses including COVID-19 with a some insured of no less than 3 million Thai baht.
Question seven says I must also supply a foreign insurance certificate as stipulated by the office of insurance commission and health insurance of Thailand And this must be completed signed and stamped by the insurance company to which that form is on the website
