yes they are, you can loose it after 1 year, just ask immigration, if you get Thai citizen or stay permit you are not tourist, but again I know many falang think they are but not you have no right like Thai citizen.

what they want to do, and new bank laws they decide this, you only a guest be happy he still have access, most turist will loose there bank account i Thailand in future because prof of living and where money come from
