I do believe that going via agent is just how things are done in Cambodia. I also believe that Embassy officials are corrupt there and get a small cut from the agent. Since most of the applicants are going via agent, my understanding is there is rarely a farang going by his own, but when there is, that person's application is looked upon more strictly or subjectively.

The OP of the other post went on his own. I believe that to have been a mistake. He should have paid the 10 extra dollars to an agent.

All right I see people are starting to make fun of this "fat" terminology. It's fat in the terms of appying for a tourist visa.

In reference to the 3 proof, I have done it last time with 2 proof, as I said before. The agent would not take the proof of accomodation, said it's not needed.
