I could try for another tourist visa in Vientiane, and if not try for 30 days visa exempt entry. Or instead then fly/travel to Hanoi from Laos to try for a tourist visa.

yes that sticker was the same as mine which fell out.

The red official consulate stamp is now still complete, and was not overlapping on the sticker.

The red stamp in my passport was only glued in, accidentaly fell out and was then misplaced. That might be a good thing for further applications.

But yes the obvious thing I should do is get a different type of visa.

Wow I see. Didn't know people go there for visas. But again if I arrive back in Don Muang, likely they will ask for all the proofs now I think after this many visas. And I understand it happens more in Don Muang.

If I wasn't allowed to apply for another tourist visa in Vientiane, seems likely that I also wouldn't be allowed in for example Penang, Malaysia.

Or you think it would be fine there?

If I flew into Don Muang on a 6th tourist visa though, I think would be a high chance of them asking for proof of funds/onward travel/accommodation etc.

Or perhaps can cross on land in Malaysia.

In that case would be stuck in Laos and either organise all the requirements in Laos to enter Thailand, or go to Vietnam.
