not necessary and way more expensive than the 1900 baht extension fee. The OP states he will be in Thailand for just under 3 months, so the extension is the easiest, cheapest, and best option.

obviously your response time wasn't fast enough. How dare you be busy doing something else!

Actually I hope the educated responses gave you the info you need. Usually the limit on daily withdrawal amounts is a combination of your issuing bank and the ATM's banks' limit.

yes it is. They said "I need to pay FOR my visa", not "with my Visa". There's a BIG difference. If they are using an agent, they may need 45k baht or more.
