So what you are saying is that if you come for 3 months then leave for 6 months and then come back for 3 months before leaving again then you are expected to pay tax. So you mean all those old pensioners need to pay tax on their pension even if they aren't making money in Thailand. Sounds a bit harsh.

Sorry, I'm outside and couldn't get to my phone immediately

Yes it is based on marriage to a Thai. I explained that I'm trapped here and my Thai wife is trapped in Australia

They just said your main visa hasn't expired and your 90 day re -entry is covered by the amnesty. Then they sent me on my way.

Have a valid non immigrant- O but unable to do border bounce. Immigration in Bkk says the amnesty covers it.

If what they say about non immigrant-o not being covered is true then I'll go and talk with them on Monday. I just need to extend long enough to either do a border bounce or go back to Australia.

I had a ticket with Thai for the 29th April to go home but it was cancelled and I couldn't get another flight. By that time a border bounce was impossible.

I obtained my visa outside of the country and my documents aren't here. Also my wife left the country 2 weeks ago and can't get back. So the 60 days is impossible to me. I have the letter from the embassy for 30 days and intended to go on Friday.. However because the government announced amnesty for all visas I didn't go.
