sorry to warm this up, but is this still the procedure? im on ed visa at a phuket private language school since may, now got a good job offer for the "possibly starting but not 100% sure" season in tourism, after documents checked by HR visa staff i got asked if i could go back to home country to do non b there - but the whole process is just insane with flying half the globe, quarantines, 5-6 weeks waiting time for embassy appointment, vaccination not accredited in home country, coming back to sandbox with all the papers, bookings, tests - all for a different visa sticker!? maybe you have some advice...
