yep. Train and bus travel. We were refused ticketing in Lampang at the train station.

I have been asked for my passport for every flight I have taken out of CM over the past 10 years.

Visitors are meant to be carrying their passports at all times. We carry scanned copies on our phones and photocopies, our actual passports are normally locked up in a safe at our accommodation. We have had police board buses that we are on and check for ID.

Yes. We have been asked for our passports for ID every time we buy train and bus tickets and of course, flying within the country.

No. We are in the same situation, we are 62 this year, can claim the pension at 67.5 years. You must have been living back in Australia, I think it is for 2 years prior. Contact Centre link or check their website, the info is on there. We were meant to have moved to CM for semi retirement last year, of course that didn't happen. 😢 will get back as soon as we can.

Wow, good on you, never too old! I am so jealous, can't wait to get back to Thailand but being in Australia we haven't started our vaccinations for the general public. We are also concerned about trying to get an insurer, going to be a challenge. I have no advice, just wishing you all the best.
