Hi, Planning on traveling to Thailand on 20 April- 20Sep. and just starting to get ahead of the game hopefully to not run into any show stoppers. (LOL) I am 74 years old (CDC pfizer vaccinated) and a lot of insurance companies will not let me register due to my age. AXA insurance will and looks to be the one to go for me at my age. Are their any others out there that I might try to look into?? Appreciate any info and or suggestions-Thank you for all your replies. Good Luck and Happy Travels. ;-)

TLDR : Answer Summary
A 74-year-old traveler seeking insurance for a trip to Thailand from April to September 2021 expresses difficulty in finding insurance due to age restrictions. The post and comments provide various recommendations for insurance companies that accept older clients, including AXA, Pacific Cross, Luma, and Trawick International. Community members also mention the importance of insurance that covers COVID-19, as it is mandatory for entry into Thailand during the pandemic. Other suggestions include contacting insurance brokers for competitive rates and checking eligibility with different providers.
I used my AXA insurance and it was accepted by the Thai Embassy in Seoul, South Korea (when applying for my Visa & COE) as well as upon arrival in Thailand
AXA insurance if you are told it would cover you then it's an ok choice

Luma do a plan that covers up to 74 years of age. It provides 3.5 miiiion Bahr of general medical insurance, including COVID-19 cover. This will satisfy the insurance requirements of the STV. 6 months cover is 20,000 Baht.

I would like to recommend Luma Thailand Pass as well.
You can have the insurance certificate instantly here with LUMA (apply with a laptop and not with mobile device nor Safari):

Pacific Cross accepted new policies at age 74 last year. I donât know if they still do,but you might want contact them. There may be only two companies accepting new policies for age over 65 if the company youâre considering does.

Wow, good on you, never too old! I am so jealous, can't wait to get back to Thailand but being in Australia we haven't started our vaccinations for the general public. We are also concerned about trying to get an insurer, going to be a challenge. I have no advice, just wishing you all the best.

I have many friends living in THAI and I can assure you that this is a very difficult time to go to or re-enter THAILAND, quarantine and COVID insurance MANDATORY!đ
yes 15 Days Qurantäne same Jail, Pay 2000$ plus Covid Insurance, plus Tests. Wasting many Time and Money. I travel to Thailand again when Quarantäne free Not before.
if you work for business and you have your company backing you up with costs and hoops, it's not. On the other way, there are still a lot of families waiting to reunite because of the hard times jumping through the many hoops and the high cost involved.
