last time I was in immigration some girl walked in having just came from the beach so had only a bikini and sarong on immigration basically told her to leave and come back when dressed appropriately in Chang mai and Bangkok they have huge signs regarding dress code

Just make sure shoulders and knees are covered and dress respectfully not like just off beach will help

End of the day it’s down to the immigration officer to approve or decline at there discretion they have said he didn’t have the funds available so he will have to try for visa at the embassy and try again

well they need the money in cash not in bank so that’s enough grounds according to friend who is immigration officer
