Hi Guys, I’m going to Samui on Monday 25th to get and extension on my 30 waiver. (It runs out on the 4th march and I’m flying back to Uk on the 9th, Thanks to your previous posts I have all the necessary photocopies and documents in check. My only concern is that I am only booked into the my hotel until Tuesday 26th and I have yet to book further accommodation for the remainder of my holiday (as travelling). Will this be an issue with immigration? I have managed to get a photocopy of my registration form from my current Hotel. I’ve not been able to get through to the Samui immigration office to ask. Can you offer any information on this? Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user plans to extend their 30-day visa waiver in Koh Samui but is concerned about only having accommodation booked until the day after their arrival. They ask if this will be an issue with immigration, especially since they have received conflicting advice regarding the necessity of showing proof of accommodation. The responses indicate that proof of further accommodation is not required for the visa extension, but there are reminders about appropriate dress code when visiting immigration offices.

These signs are all over the place. And just to be fair, you don't wear a suit or a dress when you visit the beach. It is a little common sense to be appropriate dressed when you visit a Government Office.

Yes, common sense is all that is needed

Just make sure shoulders and knees are covered and dress respectfully not like just off beach will help

I know, but to assume the OP might not dress appropriately is somewhat misdemeaning. Im pretty sure Chiang Mai doesnt have any beaches

last time I was in immigration some girl walked in having just came from the beach so had only a bikini and sarong on immigration basically told her to leave and come back when dressed appropriately in Chang mai and Bangkok they have huge signs regarding dress code

No problem

This is what is needed for Extension of Stay at Koh Samui. You do not need documents of booked hotel.
