there was no rule change. Never was. It's a lie. They try to make you pay the bribe and allow to to apply for the 1-year Extension. It's all about tea money. Pay up the 25,000 THB and get that extension, and it's a happy end after all, no more hassles to follow

Did they really said that they have stopped to issue a "60-days family visit extension" ? What are they, a rogue office full of corrupted people? There is a "Royal Police Order" for this extension, and the 60-days family visit extension HAS NEVER BEEN STOPPED. This is a lie. An apparent lie! I think they want to press you into paying them the 25,000 THB grease money for allowing you to do the 1-year extension, despite not meeting the 2-months seasoning of your 400,000 THB. Typical for a CORRUPT office. Well you can save yourself a lot of hassles if you pay the the demanded tea money. But remember next time get that seasoning in order and only pay 1900.- THB

nobody EVER did a 2-months extension out of a 90-days Non-Imm-O married Visa. . . . not in the past 50 years. It was NEVER possible. So, nothing changed and the correct info was just lost in translation, believe me. The only thing that is possible to do before the 90 Days from a Non-Imm-O married visa expire, is the application to the 60-days FAMILY VISIT Extension

ONE MORE TIME, last time! . . . . you cannot extend the 90-days Stay permit out of a Non-Imm-O Married Visa for 60 days. You can only change to the "1-year Extension". Or you leave the country. Or you apply for the "60-days Extension based on Family Visit". It is only issued once per entry. However at the end of these 60 days, you NORMALLY cannot apply for the 1-year Extension of the Stay Permit based on marriage to a Thai wife, because you are not on the initial 90 days out of the Non-Imm-O Visa anymore. If you are LUCKY, Immigration will allow it. If you are NOT lucky, you will need to start the process all over, the way I advised is to leave Thailand, re-enter visa-exempt, and apply for the "change of visa type" to the 90-days Non-Imm-O married Visa on Immigration

you don't need an agent for a 60-days Family Visit Extension on Immigration. You and your wife can do this together all by yourself . . . You just need the documents I already listed

@แหลม ******
"You can extend your wife's visa for 60 days for 1,900 baht" 🤣. . . . . . . . his wife doesn't have a visa. She is a Thai citizen and doesn't need any visa or any extension for 1900 Baht. . and he doesn't need an agent for the application to a 60-days Family Visit Extension. He and his wife can do that by themselves, save the money for an agent

Nav Sandhu he refused a 2 months extension because it is not possible and HAS NEVER BEEN POSSIBLE before! Only a ONE YEAR extension, or you have to LEAVE Thailand before the 90 days stay permit are expired. You can however get a 60-days Extension if you visit Immigration with your freshly printed Thai marriage registry proofs (Kor Ror 2 or 22) and your Thai wife. Then you can apply for the 60-days "Extension based on Family Visit" . . he gave you a BS reply. There haven't been any changes !!

@Nav *******
what does your Thai wife has to do with that? She is Thai, she doesn't need a visa at all.
