Dave Anthony It's the reason why I asked this group. I figured there are other TPV holders who went through the same process.

Maybe there were post/comments who gave wrong answers, who knows? 🤷🏽‍♂️

Joseph Davis Hi, thanks for your comment.

I was researching and comparing DTV, LTR, and TPV (Thai Elite). Among the three, I find TPV somewhat suitable for my particular circumstances. It feels like a middle ground between DTV and LTR, minus the right to work part.

It’s basically just hunker down money and getting the visa at the airport, with annual renewals in Bangkok, similar to LTR (DTV requires renewal every six months).

I’m not too keen on meeting the requirements for DTV or LTR. I was tempted to go for the LTR via the wealthy global citizen scheme but fell short on one of the requirements - it feels like one needs to be "invested" to qualify for this scheme.

I don't know why you're giving even this comment.

I am researching my options, like everyone else. I am asking around, from this group, to another recommended group, to immigration, to legal firms.

It really doesn't hurt to ask. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Fair point. Ok, I'll see if I give flying to Hat Yai a go.

That's the thing. I really don't know how lenient they are at passport control these days.

Unlike prior to the pandemic, they just let me in without asking any questions. So I wouldn't want to assume that thing back then would be the same as now.

Yes. That option is by flying to Hat Yai from Kuala Lumpur (AirAsia)
