Yes. We can. But like I said, we have no home in either country. We'd soon run of money (getting there, the insane cost of living there). And, as I said, we'd probably not be able to get back to our actual home when it reopens (not sure when, but it might only be a month or two...of course it could be longer, but nobody knows).

Despite the fact that we don't live there and have nowhere to stay.

So you suggest that my wife goes back to the US, and my kids and I to the UK?

US/UK. However, going back to either would be a really bad idea. Other than the fact that both countries are imploding, we don't live there and have nowhere to stay. Plus, as I said, we'd likely find getting back to China almost impossible soon.

Sure. For a limited time. Just like here. Except we'd then be half a world away from China (where we need to get back to). I know Thailand is not responsible for us. However, our respective embassies can only give advice for us, not as a family as a whole. Their advice is to return home. However, China is our home.

The ask:thailand community, consisting of multiple Q/A groups with over 100,000 members, powers this platform. It is not an official government resource. Our members actively contribute to this resource, and while we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee its complete reliability. Assistance to travelers is provided as a community service.
