Having lived in Asia for 60 years, Thailand ticks all the boxes compared to anywhere else. The degree of pollution is determined where you live. It’s bad in different countries at differing times of the year and differing wind directions. It’s difficult to avoid it. Maybe consider relocating within Thailand rather than exiting. Chiangmai, for example, gets it worse because of topography. The further south you go, the more you avoid it - but the hotter it gets. The old Asian hands are ignoring the tax concern… it’s all overblown. As for farang bashing, if we behave as guests should behave, it doesn’t happen. Never happened to me. Ttfn!
