Correct, UK passport and based in Samui. I haven’t held the 500k in one account which has been the prompt for my question.

yes absolutely. That’s what I was hoping but I what I read about funds being in bank account for 6 months prior was related to Malaysia. No idea if this is correct or not. Trying to find the info on the embassy website.

British national, currently in Koh Samui (not sure if this makes a difference, but have been in Thailand for 6 years always with work visa and permit looked after by my work but after a career change I no longer have that option).

Where I will apply most likely depends on finding the answer to my question.

oh great. Thanks for the help and swift response. Is it just the usual items required? photocopies of passport, visa, wp etc.
