Non O for my daughter and husband - I work here! My Non B etc is all sorted! So now I need to do theirs :)

Can I obtain a Non-O Visa while my wife applies for a Non-B Visa in Singapore?

I just did my Non B extension and trying to put my husband on my visa as dependent, immigration told me yesterday that my husband will need to leave the country and come back on a Non O visa (you cannot change a tourist visa to a Non O in country). I was at immigration in Phuket town. :)
