i had run in with the same guy. Severely harassed and called all names in the book as well as threatened with police and revocation of my visas/wp etc… I think he’s still here commenting under new profile BTW… I PMd you.

Hi! We were in the same situation and got our son a visa in country. We arrived on visa exempt and 15 days before expiry went to immigration to get him a dependent visa (my company helped with this). It’s a headache but I preferred it this way to just be on safe side. It’s a personal choice of course and if you’re company doesn’t help it might not be worth the effort.

Thank you Robert, good point. Yes we are registered with the Swiss authorities here (he was born here actually and could only get his passport through our embassy here).

Thanks Ellie, yes my employer is helping but they say we probably have to go to CW. I am just dreading spending the day there with a 5 month old :(
