I believe he is only using it as a single entry visa and not applying for the year extension. Your post is confusing and I'm not quite sure what point you're trying to make.

90 day visa to visit wife or child/family + 60 day extension which is what had said before. Visiting family is 90 days initially not 60 days. The 60 days is the extension part after the initial 90 days. Then if you want to you can apply for a yearly extension at immigration or you can go to a Thai consulate outside Thailand twice a year and skip the bs.

This information I recieved directly from the Thai embassy in London.

no worries matey, have a good trip. Don't forget you can also extend for 60 days of you need it.

Also if you're going over there for more time in the future and you can't be bothered with immigration you can get a non o single from Savannakhet for visiting family and a year for marriage. This with the 60 day extension gives 5 months per entry so no hassle to do that twice a year and no bs plus unlimited times.

If its single entry eg 90 days which is what you're talking about you need to show £1000 for 1 month (multiple entry 1 year is 10k for 3 months). On the items they ask you for something that's applicable for the multi entry like the 10k just upload a page stating "NOT NEEDED or NOT APPLICABLE" as it won't let you continue unless you upload something.

As mentioned by someone else the evisa site caters for many different types of non o. If you need further clarification you can email them directly at

but this information I gave above was from an email they sent me because I needed exact details for a non o parent of Thai child but the single entry 90 day visa financials are as above.
